About Second Chance Thrift
Our Vision
Over 40 million tons of garments from the fashion industry become waste every year. That is 87% of the clothing being produced each year, with only around 1% of those garments being recycled. Through donations from patrons along with donations of waste garments from fast-fashion brands, Second Chance Thrift's mission was created. Our mission is through selling these curated second-hand items, that the number of garments found in landfills can decrease and the percentage of garments recycled to increase. All of our profits go to shelter pets across Long Island. As a shelter volunteer for almost ten years, it was a passion of mine to ensure that both our products and the animals in these shelters both get the second chance they deserve.
